The Challenge
CaraKit is a fantastic brand, doing amazing things for women in cancer treatment. They focus on providing relevant and hand-curated gift boxes for women in various stages of their cancer journey. The issue the brand was having is common among Shopify stores: great products but low site conversion, average order, and general monthly revenue. The idea is strong, the boxes are beautiful and the message is clear… but something was missing.
The Approach
After a quick site audit, a few standard and essential items were missing from the homepage. Lack of product push, with a higher focus on the message, lack of the founder’s story (the reason this all started), lack of product ad on’s at the cart level, and a generally bloated website in terms of theme and image optimization. All easily fixable items, with the right tools and practices in place.
The Solution
Shopify is all about the theme, so we introduced a custom lightweight theme focused on on-site optimization and conversion. We optimize the design to merge the message and story with the products that help. We also consulted and assisted in bringing more richness to the owner’s story, while pushing others to share their own stories. While implementing more email communication, abandoned cart flows, and stickiness throughout the site, the redesign has helped transform the CaraKit business.
